One Car Needs Hundred Trees

Carbon dioxide or CO2 is released into the air every time a car is driven - our cars are contributing a lot to global clomate change. Each year, a typical driver uses enough petrol/ diesel to emit about 7,700 kilograms of CO2 out the car's tailpipe into the air. SO how many trees would it take to use up that much CO2 in a year? The answer depends on the tree - its health and the size of its canopy. For each car, we'd need over a hundred average sized trees to sop up the CO2. We don't have that many trees. The only way we can tackle the number of increasing cars is by planting more and more trees.
